Orbital Despatches
opened on September the 5th 1994 by brother and sister team Mark
Boddice and Emma Ellis-Yorke, feeling the need to improve the general
attitude towards the parcel industry they decided it was time
for an agent to be established who cared about other peoples
parcels. Both with totally different education and work
experience backgrounds they felt they had the ideal knowledge
and complimentary personalities to pull off such a massive task.
Locating
themselves in a small city centre office, with just a typewriter
and 2 cars they set about this awesome task, it was not long
before help was needed and with this, the Orbital Fleet began.
Within a year a move into larger premises was looking imminent,
and by July 1996 a property had been purchased, renovated and
occupied by the now growing staff of Orbital. |

Now
ten years on
from that first day in September 1994 Orbital Despatches has
established itself as one of the leading courier specialists in
the East Midlands, with over 700 customers in Leicestershire and
more coming on board every week. We now operate from
modern warehouse facilities in the Barbky Road Industrial Park
in Leicester and own a large fleet of modern vehicles. We
are beginning to achieve many of the dreams and ambitions which
we set out to accomplish.
Providing a
service to our customers in which they can trust and rely when
delivering parcels regardless of the size, destination or time
limit involved is very important to us and we take the
commitment which we make to you very seriously. Our
service levels throughout the UK, Europe and the World are
improving every day, through utilising the best routes and modes
of transportation many deliveries are taking place with the
speed and accuracy that were once only achievable if you got in
your car, on a train or on an airplane and took it there
yourself.
