Goods that are
fragile and sensitive should ideally be securely packaged inside
their container, with the aid of polystyrene chips or equivalent
to ensure that they are not damaged in transit. Orbital
Despatches will ensure that these goods will be safe enough for
transit before departure
Potentially
hazardous goods or liquids should be packaged to the
requirements of our Customer Services department, as there are
strict packaging instructions and restrictions. Orbital
Despatches we ensure that these goods are safe for transit
before departure. If you are unsure of the requirements
then please contact our Customer Services department.
Documents or
parcels that are small in size should be placed in envelopes no
smaller than A4 to ensure that they are not misplaced during
transit. Orbital Despatches will be happy to provide
plastic envelopes for such consignments.
If once we receive
the parcel back at the depot we find there is a problem with
packaging we will endeavor to package the consignment so it is
in a safe condition to travel. If we feel that regardless
how we pack the consignment to make it safe there is a
possibility of damage we will not despatch it and will contact
you the following morning. On these occasions we will
offer you a different mode of transportation or the opportunity
to repackage the consignment to ensure safety. We
would rather not send a consignment than to send it and damage
it.
If once back at
the depot we receive a consignment to which the address is
incomplete we will endeavor to obtain the full address.
However, if we can not, we will send the parcel out and contact
you the following morning for a complete address or telephone
number so we can guarantee the delivery.
If you are
despatching consignments of dutiables to anywhere other than the
UK or EEC then they must be accompanied with pro-forma invoices.
If you have any problems with these, please do not hesitate to
contact our Customer Service Department for assistance.
